Meet the Artist!

I was born to be an artist.

Since I was young enough to hold a crayon, I have been coloring, drawing and painting.  Change has been the mystery to discover new venues of self expression.

Whether I am sculpting, painting, drawing, designing, fabricating jewelry or photographing, it is all the same.  I am engaged in the creative process and that's what nourishes my muse.

Creating is my life!  I invite you to explore my portfolios of artwork and have fun with my whimsical, spiritual expression.

Thanks for stopping by!

Burton is a fine artist who works in mixed media. Her combined use of watercolors, pen and ink, pencils and pastels in conjunction with interesting papers create the basis of her original designs.

Her work is fantasy and abstract with an emphasis on exciting colors and dimension.

Burton has achieved national recognition for her unique, original artistry demonstrated through her dynamic, innovative designs.

Through years of practice in the healing arts, she mastered her intuitive use of color and patterns with the intention to instigate personal healing, self-empowerment and awakening the playful spirit.

Her collection of eight paintings of empowered women called "Courageous Woman Series" was inspired by Burton's interest in yogic feminine images. Several images from the series were featured in an XS Magazine article on Yoga in South Florida.

Burton's radio and television interviews provided mass exposure to her artwork.

Burton's work has been presented in one-woman shows, juried exhibitions and group showings. Her talent has been honored by awards in exhibits in Hollywood, Key Biscane and Boca Raton, FL

Exhibitions and awards:

  • Best of Show winner at the Professional Artists Guild of the Boca Raton Museum of Art
  • People's Choice Award at the XS Magazine "Best of the Gallery Exhibit"
  • Boca Raton Museum Juried Art Festival - featured her masks
